some fun, some laughs and some funky crafts

walking in a winter wonderland!

Well, almost - a bit foggy, but cor is it suddenly cold!! Amzingly winter officially started yesterday, 21st. And boy don't we know it.

Well the last week or so has been a gradual wind-down in preperation for the chrismas holidays. J was the first to leave, and I want to say good-luck to both him and Y when they start school full-time. We hope you have had lots of fun with us and been very happy, we'll miss you both.

S and A will return after Christmas, though not soon enough for Lauren - everytime the doorbell rings...'A?' she says hopefully.

Had a nice few days with C, lovely to have him back for the holidays, some freeplay, soft play and lots of friend's round to play was on our agenda this week - not a christmas craft in sight, all of us a bit crafted out over the last few weeks!

And today? A day off :-) my gym induction then some lazing round the house. Bliss!!! Merry Christmas everyone, and see you for a happy new year

mild for the time of year!

Hours of fun in the garden! No cold fingers, no numb toes. Lots of camping out in the playhouse, it was even getting dark yesterday and they were still happy out there!

Glitter up our noses, on my socks, all over my dining room table no matter how often I wipe it....thats the result of our christmas crafts! Yesterday's masterpiece was a toilet roll nativity scene :-) Yup, will publish pics once I upload them, but I am very proud!! One of the kings has a cork wrapped in gold foil for his gift...I keep catching Lauren trying to preise it off him, saying 'choc-choc' and looking at me with big blue eyes when I tell her it is NOT chocolate and to put it down!

Today was glitter angels to complete the scene - only they were so ladden down with glitter glue pens, it might take until after christmas for them to dry!

shhhh, its a secret :-)

But we have been making presents for the mummy's and daddy's. Nope, not telling you what it is, AND I am wrapping it up so no peaking before Christmas day ok??

We also made spangly sparkly paper chains yesterday, which are now proudly hanging across my dining room ceiling. And the tree went up last night too. For the first time in a lower position....quite tempting to play with apparantly, and thats the 4 year olds...to think it was Lauren I was more concerened about!
