some fun, some laughs and some funky crafts

so a childminder sticks the tv on, has a cup of tea, then might drag the children round the shops..... not in my world.....

Ofsted Outstanding Celebrations

I had lunch with the Her Majesty's Chief Inspector for Education today. Well sort of! I attended a reception held by Christine Gilbert at Lancaster House in London as a celebration of the success of Outstanding childcare providers and education. I had my photograph taken with her, and she seemed very lovely. A nice free lunch, a glass of wine and a coffee, a couple of hours peace to read my book on the train - what more could a girl wish for?!

Happy New year!

Feels a bit strange saying that so late in January, but things have been a bit hectic getting back into the swing of things, combined with my own 2 getting chicken pox!

On the adgenda this term is our winter theme, currently looking at and learning about The Arctic, in particular penguins and polar bears. And to brighten our rooms after taking down the christmas decorations, led by S this afternoon the children began to make colourful mobiles to hang from the ceilings.

I'd also like to welcome J to our setting, and hope he enjoys himself during the time he spends with us!
